I just love my job – yes, it’s really busy and some days pass by in a whirlwind, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. I enjoy the variety of tasks and demanding challenges that are associated with a busy property management office. I feel privileged to work as part of such a professional and dedicated team, who feel more like family than co-workers. I provide assistance and support to our property managers as well as maintaining financial records for our owners, tenants and tradespeople.
After completing an administration traineeship, I worked in a variety of administration roles, from a receptionist for a family of ophthalmic surgeons to providing administration support for an insurance company assessing claims after the Newcastle earthquake. I started my career in the world of property management back in 1990 and have never looked back.
I have never been a runner but I have recently learnt to enjoy a morning run. Although my daughters crack up and describe it more as a slow shuffle, I don’t mind; slow and steady wins the race. This was proved recently when I planted my whole backyard with buffalo runners from my grandma’s garden. It took three months but it looks fantastic; I really do love my grass!
