Our suburb profile details some key information to help in your search for a rental property in Ashtonfield.

Less than 10 kilometres from Maitland city centre is the suburb of Ashtonfield.

Largely residential, Ashtonfield is a suburb of the City of Maitland and sits adjacent to the New England Highway. The area is popular among established families, who enjoy the close proximity of Maitland and the convenience of the highway providing easy access to Newcastle and Sydney.

Ashtonfield borders East Maitland, with Metford to the suburb’s north-east and Beresfield to the south-east. On Ashtonfield’s western side is Four Mile Creek and the Bloomfield Colliery, a large employer in the area.

Why rent in Ashtonfield?

Ashtonfield has few support services; however, it does have one stand-alone primary school, Ashtonfield Public School, as well as Hunter Valley Grammar School, which is a private school that includes preschool through to Year 12 classes.

As the suburb is slightly younger than the surrounding towns, Ashtonfield offers many newer properties, usually averaging three or four bedrooms.
